"There's a pink one, and a green one, and a red one, and a yellow one, and they're all made out of ticky tacky, and they all look just the same."

This quote comes from a song that surfaced around the middle of the l960s, and it was referring to the track-like homes that were being built south of San Francisco. It was, of course, a metaphore, forcing a little closer look at our world.

Each of us lives in our own personal little box. We see the world, experience the world, understand the world from inside our own personal little box. So, we are aghast at the people who have opinions of the world that are in opposition to ours.

I mean, who are "these" people anyway? What is wrong with them? How can they be so confused, so stupid? How can "they" miss the obvious truth that is so clear to me?

This new year, I wonder what would happen if we really did "think" outside of the box? I wonder what would happen if you, and I, pushed really hard against the 4 sides of our own personal little box? I wonder if we have the strength to stretch our own limits?

I suspect that if we push really hard against the boundaries -- it we stretch our awareness -- we will be able to catch a glimpse of a higher truth, a truth that is boundless.

When we move into limitless awareness our personal box dissolves, and the view is spectacular!
