January 14, 2007 A Valentine for You!! Open you heart and see the world with your mystic's eye. Mystics accept experience in the Nagual. that is what mystics do. Other folks try to rationalize the nagual, or deny it, or never open enough to "see" and experience the unknown. We, who know we are mystics, make bids for power, sometimes by taking a physical journey to a place of power, perhaps at a time of power. So it was on February 9th when we, members of the tribe of enlightenment, went to a powerful desert gorge. Why? We walk along the razor's edge. We dissolve, and reassemble. New aspects of the light become our new awareness--our new study, our new lesson, and one day part of our wisdom. This journey I watched other members dissolve. They were not solid. They were fluid, they were expanding into the void. They were NOT who they had been, and they knew it. Later, perhaps on the drive back or during pizza talk someone referred to themself as Not. I think it might have started with Eric, who referred to himself as not-Eric, or maybe it was David, Not sure! Soon that poignant truth infected tribe members, and we laughed at our new not-selves many times. That following week, I got phone calls and emails from not-people, and the ripple of truth and laughter continued. Mystics embrace the unknown, knowing that the NOT known is their world. The best we can do is write about it, perhaps talk to each other about the wordless and formless, knowing that NOT words hold the truth, and recognizing that finding a place in the world of form is part of what we do and who we are. NOT because we are trying to rationalize our experience. NOT because we are trying to convince anyone to come into the mystic, but because we are storing experiences from the nagual. So, from not-Samadhi, to not-You, I want you to know that mysticism is an incredible journey. We, who know we are mystics, love light, and take a variety of excursions into the mystic. We love each other, and share what we know, because it matters.I encourage you, who took your own journey, to share your experiences. The most important person to share with is yourself, and so you write, and create an understanding in your conscious mind. Then, if it feels correct, you refine your writing as you prepare to share it with some audience. Then you let it go.
